Alexandrea KemenyCo Founder, Vice-President, Director and Playwright
Alexandrea Kemeny’s musical career began at age 13. The bass-violinist in her father’s Hungarian orchestra died. She got the job, being a budding violinist herself. Her sister Cheryl was already there playing the drums under similar i circumstances. Subsequently, Andrea earned advanced music and teaching degrees, toured the world in a rock band and then pursued a teaching career at a local Norwalk school until retirement. Currently she directs, plays keyboards, and costumes shows for Crystal Theatre. Fortunately for us, Alexandrea (Andrea) likes to shop. She’s a regular at every Goodwill and Savers within 50 miles. Armed with complete knowledge of all the roles and characters in every show, she’s the perfect costumer, and a perfect job she does. We like to say,- “The costumes are more important than the set.” Because it’s true. When the kids are all made up with face paint, special hair-dos, and decked out costumes, it’s better than Halloween. And the children are our clients. We want to keep them happy. Alexandrea also has the special ability to fix most of those little problems that arise during dress rehearsals. She’s the second wheel in that vehicle called Crystal Theatre.
